I was born in Pavia in 1971 and since then dogs became part of my family.
In 1995, I bought a Rottweiler – his name Oberon: with him, I took part to different dog shows, combined with dozens swims in Ticino and long walkings in the woods of Lomellina.
Once his exhibition’s career ended, I measured myself with immortalizing Oberon in such places, so dearest to me, thanks to those beautiful photos I saw turning over the pages of dogs reviews.
When I got married with Anna, she presented me the camera of my dreams and almost as a joke, we both started to visit dog kennel to immortalize all those subjects.
Then over the last few years, I attended photographic masters and I became a specialist in dog photography and this turned into my full–time profession.
During these years, together with my wife, I had the good luck to work with many breeders, many dog societies and many kennel clubs (Bassethound Club Italy, Cao De Agua Club, Italian Club Retrievers – Section Labrador, Italian Society Pro - segugio, Italian Society Setter, Italian Club Drahtharr, Italian Club Terranova and many more) to which I have to express all my thanks.
Moreover, since the beginning of 2008, we follow the reviews’ conventions ”CANI DA PRESA” and thousand of our photos appeared in the most important dog reviews, such as CANI UTILI, ARGOS, IL MIO CANE, CANI UNA RIVISTA DI RAZZA.
Unfortunately, on the 4Th March 2009 Oberon, our dearest photographic subject, died and it was not easy going on with our work with such a huge pain; thanks to the strength Oberon is trying to give us form Heaven, we are still able to work with serenity and to find the pleasure to take photos to dogs again.
Other passions of mine are:
• Vintage Cars, which I love to photo, surrounded by the nicest landscapes which raise their external beauty;
• Herons, birds too difficult to photo, but so beautiful to take you lying on ambush all day long;
• Horses, which express elegance and haughtiness;
• last, but not least, Cats with all their expressions, sometimes so funny but so tender.
In November 2010, after one year from Ober’s death, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy arrived at our house, OPPECTO UNIVERSA DEL MARCHESATO, a resounding name for a very sweet and so happy dog. After one week I had him, I asked myself: “Have I bought a cat?”, because Aaron (this is the name Anna had chosen for him) has been jumping from a chair to the other, he has always been running, so much that he looked as joyful as a tennis ball in the air.
We didn’t want him for dogshow purpose, but as pet (even if he is morphologically a good subject) and he’s much more tender than our expectations; he always wants to play and to have a very strong contact with other members of the family.
Now we are still three: Anna, Aaron and me and we’ve got Ober that is our guardian angel that protect us from the rainbow bridge.” |
